Ce weekend un de nos athlètes, Éric Pesi, était aux championnats de France d’épreuves combinées à Chalon sur Saône. Il était engagé sur le pentathlon M40. Après avoir réalisé 5m63 à la longueur, 29m36 au disque (record personnel), 25″ sur 200m, il fait un mauvais lancer de javelot à 29m et accuse ainsi un retard de 120 points sur le premier du classement avant d’effectuer la dernière épreuve, le 1500m.
Pour monter sur la 1ère marche du podium, Il doit absolument battre son adversaire de plus de 23 secondes. Avec force et motivation, il y parvient avec un chrono de 5’19 alors que son adversaire réalise 5’44. Eric remporte ainsi le titre de champion de France avec 4 points d’avance et un total de 2691 points.
Un grand bravo à notre champion.
